Nag Tibba Trek

Nag Tibba is the weekend trek of Delhi – a 3,022 m summit in the Bandarpunch range near Mussoorie, reachable as a genuine two-day trip from the capital, with a temple to the serpent god at the top and winter snow that makes it the state’s easiest taste of a white Himalaya.

Quick facts

Summit 3,022 m
Base Pantwari (~85 km from Dehradun)
Duration 2 days (1 night)
Grade Easy
Best window Year-round; December–February for snow

The route in brief

Delhi → Dehradun/Pantwari (early start) → forest and ridge trail to Nag Tibba base camp → pre-dawn summit push (temple, prayer flags, Bandarpunch–Swargarohini–Gangotri views) → descend → drive back. Camping at the base or day-hike it.

Who it suits and practicalities

Absolute beginners, corporate groups, and anyone testing their legs before a bigger trek. Independent-friendly: the trail is well-marked. Packages ₹2,500–4,500; DIY possible with camping gear. Related: winter treks list, Mussoorie as base.
